Austin Suzuki Academy Inc. is a non-profit affiliation of Austin area music teachers. On Saturday mornings ASA offers classes in Suzuki violin, fiddle and ensembles. ASA holds a 10 week fall semester and a 10 week spring semester.

Children in group classes grow up with a community of peers all learning music together.  Practice time is transformed because they are part of a team, all inspiring each other to build their technique and share their musical ideas. In this process, the students begin to become self-directed, initiating their own musical growth, with the teacher and parent giving support and guidance.

ASA is set up to enhance what the student learns in his or her private lessons. ASA helps teachers, students, and parents foster the love of learning and beauty, through music. The Academy serves the community by sharing young peoples' music with retirement centers and other worthwhile projects.
